Description of Bitter Melon (Glycemic Control) |
|
Bitter Melon - Glycemic Control -
Bitter Melon, also known as Bitter Gourd, has been traditionally used to
regulate blood sugar levels within the normal limits. It contains
Gurmarin, a polypeptide that has been shown in experimental studies to
achieve its regulating effect by suppressing the neural response to
sweet taste stimuli. Bitter Melon is also a natural source of Vitamin C.
