N.D. This multiple formula is designed for women during and after
menopause. It contains extra calcium, vitamin D, boron, and
magnesium. It also includes female herbal extracts such as dong quai
and fennel seed. Calcium can reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
Vitamin D helps the body absorb and utilize calcium properly. Boron
appears to be necessary for the formation of estrogen and the active
form of vitamin D. Magnesium activates enzymes that help form new
calcium crystals. Dong quai is rich in phytoestrogens and flavonoids.
Fennel seed contains phytoestrogens, essential fatty acids, and
flavonoids.
