Garlic Factors - Maximum Strength
Garlic Factors is guaranteed to deliver the highest level of allicin of
any garlic product using the recently developed USP dissolution method
724A. This new method better simulates what happens in the human
digestive tract. Garlic Factors is able to achieve this goal via three
important mechanisms: 1) high alliin content garlic 2) high activity of
allinase - the enzyme that converts alliin to allicin; and 3) better
manufacturing processes insuring proper dissolution and disintegration
of the enteric-coated tablet thereby liberating the maximum amount of
allicin.
In addition to allicin, Garlic Factors provides the highest level of
other important sulfur compounds from garlic including the
gamma-glutamylcysteines that are showing benefit as antioxidants and
detoxification aids. Natural Factors garlic is grown in the high
mountain valleys of California and Oregon and is strictly controlled
from seed to finished product. It is 100% pure and potent garlic that is
certified for alliin, the main ingredient in garlic; allicin, the
healing and strengthening compound formed by alliin and allinase;
sulphur, a known antibiotic and antifungal.
Garlic has been used as a food and medicine since ancient times.
Recently garlic has undergone much scientific scrutiny to assess its
medicinal value. Over 250 studies show that garlic supports the
cardiovascular system. Studies have shown that garlic can lower
cholesterol and blood pressure and reduce blood clotting time. (Although
a recent study in JAMA showed that garlic had no cholestering-lowering
effects, it was revealed that an inferior garlic oil supplement was
used, mistakenly assumed to be chemically similar to higher potency
forms of garlic.)
Garlic has antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal activity and may work
against some intestinal parasites. Regular use of garlic might prove
protective against colds and flu. Although it only has 1% of the
strength of penicillin, garlic can play a supportive role against some
bacterial infections. Garlic inhibits Candida albicans and has been very
helpful against recurring yeast infections. The antimicrobial effect is
primarily due to the allicin content.
Garlic stimulates immunity and is considered an anticancer agent.
