Features
This essential fatty acid blend provides ideal ratios of EPA, DHA and GLA
that are critical for normal brain development and visual function in
children and adults. The EPA and DHA are derived from pharmaceutical-grade
fish oil concentrates, free from lipid peroxides and environmental
pollutants including heaving metals, pesticides, dioxins, PCBs and other
harmful compounds. The GLA comes from borage oil which is extracted by cold
pressing (expeller pressing), a process that does not utilize hexane or
other harmful solvents. These chewable softgels tastes delightfully "peachy"
due to the natural flavours (peach, vanilla, orange) and is tasty to young
taste buds.
Learning Factors Advanced School-Aid blend of essential fatty acids and
antioxidants is for optimal brain and visual performance in children. These
fatty acids are called essential because they must be provided in the diet
since the body cannot consistently make them. Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) is
a derivative of essential omega-3 fatty acids. Less well-known but also
important are the omega-6 fatty acid derivatives, gamma linolenic acid
(GLA). When they are added to the diet of some hyperactive children they
seem to calm down and are able to concentrate and interact normally in their
surroundings.
