N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) tablets, provided by Advanced Medical Nutrition, contain 500 mg pure N-acetyl-L-cysteine.   NAC is a biologically active precursor for the amino acid cysteine which, in turn, is a precursor for glutathione, a tripeptide with antioxidant properties
