Vegan Coenzyme Q10 (Sublingual)
- Affordable and potent
- Vegan Society Certified
COENZYME Q10
DEVA Nutrition delivers high quality, potency, and affordability in one
bottle. Our 100% Vegan Coenzyme Q10 is in a convenient sublingual form;
absorption is increased through the thin skin and rich blood supply of the
mucous membranes in the mouth.i
Oral forms of Coenzyme Q10, such as chewables, tablets, capsules, and liquids
must first pass by stomach acid and breakdown of the supplement prior to
reaching its intended target.*
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a naturally occurring fat-soluble co-enzyme with
vitamin-like actions, that concentrates in the heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas,
skeletal muscles, and thyroid gland.ii
CoQ10 has two important functions: production of energy inside the mitochondria,
the "powerhouse" of cells, and as a potent antioxidant. All muscles require
normal mitochondrial function; however the heart, which never rests, relies
heavily upon proper energy production. Antioxidants are a self-protective
mechanism,iii
destroying free radicals and preventing damage to critical cell components.iv
CoQ10 may also strengthen cell membranes,v
and enhance immunity.vi
Amounts decrease with age,vii
and supplementation with CoQ10 may reduce signs of skin aging, and may also
influence other age-related changes.viii
CoQ10 is being studied as a possible protective agent to prevent and/or treat
diseases of nerve dysfunction.ix
*
Numerous medical studies have been conducted
concerning CoQ10's role in health. While only a few studies have reached
clear-cut conclusions, primary research has demonstrated promising results from
the use of CoQ10 in the treatment, and possible prevention, of various diseases.
In studies of people with severe chronic heart failure, researchers found that
medication, along with micronutrients including CoQ10, helped to improve and
restore heart function.x
One study found that breast cancer patients on chemotherapy who took CoQ10 had a
better prognosis.xi
Further studies are needed to determine if CoQ10 may help in: age-related
macular degeneration, chronic fatigue syndrome, kidney failure, migraine
headaches, and periodontal disease.*
DEVA Coenzyme Q10 is 100% vegan, vegetarian. In
order to provide peace-of-mind to our consumers, our products have been
certified as 100% Vegan by the non-profit Vegan Society. This non-profit
organization, which first coined the phrase "vegan," has a strict and
detailed registration process for vegan products.
