"Curcumin is believed to be the most bioactive and soothing portion of the herb turmeric. Bromelain, a proteolytic enzyme derived from the stem of the pineapple, works in synergy with the curcumin and heightens its absorption. Curcumin is synergistic with silymarin (milk thistle seed extract) in providing metabolic support of the liver."
